New Lens for Wildlife Photography

If you follow me on social media, you may have seen my recent post about upgrading my wildlife lens-

"Right alongside my love for capturing the meaningful moments and stages in life for my clients and loved ones, has always been my passion for wildlife photography. For the last couple of years I’ve been anticipating upgrading my wildlife lens to one with longer reach and faster focusing. But there were always more pressing business expenses (hello, video equipment!) Well this past week I finally did it! I am already so ecstatic about the difference it has made. Check out this beautiful blue headed vireo I was able to capture at the Botanic Garden!..."

Well I recently visited my parents house (a bird wonderland) while I was in my hometown for a wedding, and I really was able to see what a difference it makes for my wildlife work. Check it out!

I just love how much easier it is to get close-ups now.

I caught this blue jay cleaning up the clips leftover from holding Christmas lights.

And later I found the blue jay pair using them in their nest.

More bird and wildlife photos to be posted soon! It's spring migration time and Ryan and I are sure to be out birding often.
